Community Involvement

Nurse On the Go Home and Health Care Services has been really involved in the community for the past
couple of months. Over the past few months, we have participated in the following events:
August 19 th , Nurse On the Go was a part of the 2 nd Annual Step for SIDS Walk-a-thon. This event is held
for raising awareness about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome that affects infants. This was a great event,
with great entertainment, activities for all ages, and information being provided about SIDS. Nurse On
the Go had provided First Aid services to all those who required assistance.
On September 21 st , Nurse On the Go had collaborated with Irene Thomas Hospice Society for Palliative
Care Services. We provide care for clients requiring additional services, providing comfort for the
patients and their families.
CIBC run for the cure was held on Sept 30, 2018. The CIBC run for the cure raises funds to support the
Canadian Cancer Society for breast cancer research and provides support for people with breast cancer
and their families. Nurse On the Go was able to be a part of the CIBC event by providing First Aid for any
participants that required. This was a very successful event as many participants were a part of this
great event.
On October 19 th , Nurse On the Go had attended the Gurdasi Foundation 10 th Annual Fundraiser. The
Gurdasi Foundation helps those who are less fortunate, by providing food, clothes and shelter.
On October 21 st , Nurse On the Go had also attended the Health Fair 2018 organized by the Canadian
Society of Fiji Muslims in Burnaby, BC. This was a very successful event, with over 20 other medical
vendors. Nurse On the Go was able to provide information about the services, and collaboration with
other services across the lower mainland.
On November 16 th , Nurse On the Go was a part of the Moving Forward Families Fall Gala. This was a very
successful event, that helps raise awareness about Mental Health in our community. Moving Forward
Families mission is to use a client-centred anti-oppressive approach to provide safe, accessible,
affordable counselling to all.

Nurse On the Go Home and Health Care Services successfully launched on April 21st, 2018 at the Surrey Nagar Kirtan. The love and support we have been receiving from the community has been very overwhelming and very much appreciated.

Since the launch, we have collaborated with Moving Forward Family Services. Moving Forward Family Services consists of a group of counsellors and social workers that provide support to the vulnerable communities at low costs and is delivered to those in need.

Furthermore, Nurse On the Go also became a sponsor for Global Girl Power. Global Girl Power is a non-profit organization that is committed to empower and educate women and youth around the world through training and mentorship.

Nurse On the Go has been providing excellent services to all our clients. We have been receiving a lot of positive feedback from all of our clients and the community. Our focus is on client and staff welfare, and we are committed to creating a safe and trusting environment by continuously upgrading our skills and abilities.

Nurse On the Go will be attending Surrey Health Expo on June 23, 2018 from 12 to 5pm at Surrey City Hall. This is the first ever mainstream expo for health, wellness, beauty and fitness. There will be free health testing, product sampling, many workshops, free massages and many prizes. Another Health Expo that Nurse On the Go will be attending will be on June 24, 2018 by Dristhi Magazine at Taj Park Hall in Surrey.
